The restaurant halfway up the Eiffel Tower is surprisingly affordable for lunch.
Eurostar from kings cross is only a couple of hours.

Hotel l' horizon st brelades bay jersey channel islands , good food ,spa pool and gym ,a beautiful beach which you can walk at low tide to the smugglers inn. In good weather I would put this as my favourite place in the world.

So glad I'm not a romantic and I don't really get birthdays either. 365 days a year to drink on, who needs a special one??
My birds birthday tomorrow (44th), so I encouraged her to go to Spain with her friends so that I don't have to do anything.
Got her a couple of drumming lessons so she can imaging it's my head she's bashing.

BRANDED...Stayed at Babbington House....beautiful place to stay but the surrounding towns are dead..I defy anyone to find a decent place to eat in the surrounding five miles and Englands' equivalent to Kentucky

Gainsborough Hotel in Bath. Short walk from the station, has an excellent spa where you can take the thermal waters without mixing with the masses.
Eat at The Circus Restaurant or the Ivy or have Afternoon Tea at the Royal Cresent Hotel.

Theres a hotel spa called the crazy bear just outside london. Got all sorts of rave reviews when it opened. Id try that.
